These Terms govern your use of the Aurnet website and platform. By using Aurnet, you agree to these Terms.
By accessing and using Aurnet (the 'Service'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time with 30 days' notice.
Aurnet is a church engagement platform providing tools for communication, events, rotas, sermons/media, meetings, bible plans, and related church workflows. Access is provided on a subscription basis to authorized church administrators and members.
You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration, including your name, email address, and optionally your phone number. You must be at least 13 years old to use Aurnet. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities under your account. Email changes require password confirmation and verification of the new address before they take effect; your current email remains active until the new address is verified. By registering, you consent to the processing of your personal data, including special category data (religious affiliation), as described in our Privacy Policy.
Church administrators act as joint data controllers for member data. Administrators must not misuse member data, must comply with GDPR and UK data protection law, and must obtain proper consent before adding members to the platform. Administrators are responsible for member privacy and safeguarding.
You agree not to use Aurnet in any way that violates these Terms. Prohibited conduct includes:
You retain ownership of content you post on Aurnet. By posting, you grant Aurnet a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display, and process your content for the purposes of delivering the Service. You are responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe third-party intellectual property rights and complies with all applicable laws.
Aurnet facilitates donations but is not party to giving transactions. The church retains all responsibility for receiving and managing donations. Payment card details are processed by Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant). Church administrators provide bank details for refunds, which are managed by the church, not Aurnet. Aurnet's role is limited to technical facilitation.
You have rights under GDPR and UK data protection law. You may delete your account at any time, export your data (Export My Data), and withdraw consent for data processing. You will receive transactional emails related to account security (such as email change confirmations and password change notifications) which are required for the secure operation of the Service and cannot be opted out of. See our Privacy Policy for full details of your rights and how to exercise them.
Aurnet and all its features, design, and functionality are owned by Aurnet Ltd and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Aurnet for authorized purposes only. You may not modify, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission.
Aurnet is provided on an 'as is' basis. While we aim to maintain reliable service, we do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime or availability. We may suspend, modify, or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Scheduled maintenance may temporarily affect service.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aurnet Ltd is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. This includes lost profits, data loss, or business interruption. Our total liability is limited to fees paid in the current subscription period. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or as prohibited by law.
You may delete your account and terminate your use at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited conduct. Upon termination, your personal data is deleted per our Privacy Policy unless legal retention obligations apply.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of England and Wales. However, if you are a consumer in the EU or EEA, you retain the right to bring proceedings in your local jurisdiction.
We may update these Terms periodically. We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of Aurnet constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
